    In the middle of Chalkidiki, on the edge of the mountain "Cholomonta" at an altitude of 560m. is built the capital of Chalkidiki, Polygyros (or Polygeros in the past) due to the robust, healthy climate. In the center of Polygyros, opposite the Town Hall is the traditional hotel "Marelia". "Marelia" was built in 1913 by the families grandfather Constantinos Chlichlia. Later on it was preserved and restored by his granddaughter Evangelia and her family and today it has become o Traditional First Cass Hotel. The name "Marelια" is inspired by the initials of the names Maria (Mary) and Eleftheria (Freedom), who are Constantine's great granddaughters. The stone build hotel, combines old with new in a beautiful blend, giving warmth and ambience to its guests.
